Our present grows from tradition

Our club: a home for tennis, community and passion since 1924

What began more than 100 years ago with a few wooden rackets and great enthusiasm has grown into a lively club that is far more than just a place for sport. Today we stand for a passion for tennis on eight outdoor courts, the fun of the game on our modern padel court and training in any weather in our indoor hall. But at the heart of it all are not just the rallies – it is the people who bring our club to life. Beginner or pro, young or experienced: everyone finds their place with us – on the court and in the community.

Membership

YOUR CLUB in Schnelsen and Niendorf
Every club has its story. Ours began in 1924 in Hamburg-Eilbek, where our club was founded on a street called Blumenau. Only 30 years later did it move to Hamburg-Schnelsen, right on the border with Niendorf. Since then, HTC has been a fixture of the sporting and leisure culture of this area. Our large grounds in the middle of the green Wendlohstieg attract players every day with nine well-kept clay courts and two modern indoor courts (carpet). Tennis is played here 365 days a year.

ONE BIG TENNIS FAMILY
Beyond the sport itself, a family atmosphere is an essential part of our club philosophy. Friendships are made here. Long after an intense match, our members often sit together on the terrace of our lovingly run restaurant, open all year round, and chat about sport and life.
